Welcome to u3a Hay

Founded in 1982, u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities to come together to learn for fun. Members explore new ideas, skills and activities together.
There are 1,057 u3as with 400,000 members and it is open to everyone who’s not working full-time. There are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward.

What happens at u3a Hay?

U3A Hay meets on the third Tuesday of the month. See all upcoming Events. The session starts at 10.30 am - coffee and tea is available from 10am. Lunch is available in the hotel and can be booked when you arrive in the morning. We currently have just over 100 members. We meet at the Baskerville Hall Hotel, Clyro, HR3 5LE.

Take up a new interest!

u3a Members also benefit from being able to join any of the growing number of Interest Groups which cover a wide variety of subjects. Some members join the u3a just to be able to participate in our friendly Groups led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders.

The Cost?

u3a Hay charges a £15 annual membership, payable in January (£10 if you join from July onwards) and a small charge to attend the monthly meeting, although we do regularly hold free meetings for members too. The costs of the interest groups depend on each activity and you have to be a member to join an interest group.
If you would like to attend a meeting as a guest, please do. You will be made welcome. We normally charge guests £5 to attend our monthly meetings.
